We talk to the big kids … Parents!

Becoming a parent changes everything about a person—including their shopping and eating habits. Pregnancy opens a window of awareness that lasts into early childhood—an awareness that what we eat truly effects our family’s health.

Love is the most powerful force on earth, and parents-to-be want to do everything right for the children they can’t wait to meet. It’s a brief opportunity during which old habits can be broken and new habits created, and the Organic Marketing Association wants to help parents connect to Organic Good Foods that will set their family on the right course for life.

I internalized the importance of eating Organic Good Food when I was pregnant with my twins and realized the food I ate became the literal building blocks of my babies’ bodies and minds. I wanted to give them the best fuel possible for a good start in life. As I watch my kids outgrow clothes and shoes faster than I can keep up, my commitment to feeding our family Organic Good Food is here to stay.

As an award-winning author of several children’s books about food and gardens, I know it doesn’t work to scare a kid into trying a new food. Kids try a new food when I make it fun!  Parents are exactly the same. People buy happiness—especially when it’s delicious.  Fear might help someone make a short-term change, but long-term change happens when making that change makes us feel good. At OMA, we don’t want to guilt-trip parents into buying Organic food—we want to celebrate!

We at OMA believe Organic Good Food is the best for you, me, the planet—and especially for kids. We’re here to help Organic Farmers, Companies, and Retailers grow the next generation of Organic Consumers via Product and Storyline placement.
